What to do with La Toja Sticks

I've got a few La Toja shave sticks on their way. Given all the rave reviews of the no-longer-available tubs of La Toja I'm thinking perhaps I should grate a couple into a bowl and use like I would have used the La Toja tub? Thoughts on that? If so, how? I've never done that before. Do I just use a cheese grater and them smash all the little pieces together in the bowl?

After trying Valobra, I've got an urge for high quality shave sticks so this one's on my radar for my next soap. I do know that you can mill soaps or mash them to create a puck.
Let us know how it works out for you.

They are such fantastic shave sticks that I would not consider making just another puck out of one.

The container the LaToja stick comes in is perfect for traveling and just to toss in a drawer (which I do)

I've got four on the way. So I could make two into a puck and still have a couple sticks left over. Actually, not a bad idea as I still use a cartridge razor and canned goo when I travel. Could use a La Toja stick and a small brush instead.

That's exactly what I do when I leave home. I would definitely keep a stick for travel.

Fridays are Fishtastic!
I don't see the point in ruining a stick to make a puck.

You all don't like sticks?
I concur. Shave sticks are great for travel, or to knock a minute or two off of shave time. Of course, I face lather exclusively

Truth is I've never used a shave stick. In the past few weeks I've collected an Arko, a Palmolive, a Speick, and now 4 LT's on the way. So even if I found out I really liked using sticks I've still got plenty to afford to turn two into a puck.

I like the La Toja shave stick container, it has a handy cover for storage. It is an easy to lather soap that gives me good shaves, and smells good too.

This and Speick receives high praise, I may have to try them, though I used an Irisch Moos today, and it will be hard to beat.

is the La Toja container similar to a Harris stick container that could be refilled with another soap?

Being someone who never got the original soap (LM), I wanted to try it in puck form. I still have 1 more that I use as a shave stick on occasion.

And did you have success turning it into a puck? Does it work well in that form? I've read that the stick and the old soap were the exact same formulation. So I'm guessing that once you made your puck it performed well. Yes?

Since these sticks are half the size of 100g pucks are you grating 2 sticks to form 1 puck or just making 1/2 a puck?
