I need some advice. I bought a used Rooney Super Silvertip from another member. So far it has shed 9 hairs, 5 hairs, and 4 hairs in the three times I've used it. I'm wondering if the shedding will stop after a few more shaves, or if I should return the brush to the maker for a replacement? (The member who sold it to me has been very fair about the whole thing.) Should I give the brush another week or so to stop shedding, or am I fooling myself that it will stop. I've never had a brush that shed before, with the exception of my $10 Tweezerman, which always sheds 1 or 2 hairs. Even my sole simpson doesn't shed.

Given that progression, I would give it a little longer. Unless the person you bought it from used it before extensively. If so, it really shouldn't still be shedding.

I think they had used it pretty steadily before I got it, but I don't know how many times.
Try running a pocket comb through it and see if you stop catching hair in it.
