What sunscreen do you use?

Now that summer is upon us ( In Atlanta anyway, it was almost 90 today). What sunscreen do you gentlemen use? I can't spend more than 5 minutes in the sun without burning and just wonder if they is something better than the coppertone at the the checkout counter of Target.

I've been happy with using Neutrogena Ulta Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF-70.

Anthelios...great stuff except it burns like a sob if you get it in your eyes. In that I do a lot of outdoors cycling and running I do not use it on my face and use Neutrogena sport on my face.

Do any of the proucrts mentioned lack that characteristic sunscreen odor? That smell bugs me so I never use a daily mosturizer with SPF and generally just wear sucscreeen on occassions where I'm really out in the sun. (The titanium/zinc oxide ones are also no good for daily use because, as a prior post mentioned, they tend to dry slightly white.)

No Ad SPF 30 Sunscreen

The Mrs also just bought me Neutrogena Healthy Defense Oil-Free Sunblock Stick SPF 30. I walk a several miles a day and I get a lot of exposure on my face. I wanted something small that I could use on my face, and would be easy to carry in my backpack.

I just started using the stick this weekend. It has a nice applicator and goes on easy. It starts a bit greasy, but gets much less greasy after an hour.

Coppertone Sport SPF 50. For me it's the absolute best. I prefer the lotion rather than the spray.

Most spray lotions are nice for a quick application before going out, especially the sweat-resistant ones that last longer. The spray makes covering the neck/back areas easier IMO.

Also, I like those chapstick-like tubes of high SPF sunscreen for cheeks and nose. For me, the nose burns first, so I makes sure it's covered.

I like going to the drug stores, like CVS or Walgreens, since they've got lots of different brands to choose from.

I use Jack Black's Double Duty Face Moisturizer with SPF 20 on a daily basis. This is fine because I'm not in the sun for more than a few minutes at a time. If I'm going to be in the sun for an extended period of time, I will use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.

The Jack Black does not have a sunscreen smell and is good for daily use where sun exposure is limited. If you are going to be in the sun for a long-time get something with a higher SPF.

I use Neutrogena, both the 55 and the 70 - like when I am fishing, I use the 70. Even with that I got some light sun burn last year in Argentina, one should not underestimate the reflection off the water.

Do you find that you can layer the Jack Black with an ASB without it getting too heavy? Or is it good as an aftershave by itself?

Chris, I got that Jack Black product and I like it. Thanks for the recommendation.
