Today’s shave was a test of a 6/8 Iberia honed for my friend David. Stellar shave, afterwards I touched up the edge so he would have a fresh start. Soap and balm were ABC and the brush a Keyhole 4.

Just always reliable performance from this soap. Pleasant scent, gorgeously creamy and slick lather easily whip-up...
This inaugural shave with the razor shows why eBay shave-ready razors are most of the time incorrect...to me as least. After barely 1 pass, change to ZY430 to complete 3passes for a sas+ result. Red Imp has a date with an Ozuku soon.
Great shave yesterday morning with my Dovos La Forme. It’s interesting. I’m finding I’m using my SEs less and my shavettes more. My Feather ACs give me a closer shave with far less work. I know…sacrilege. But there you have it.
Henkels Friodur 472
LaToja soap stick
and introducing my first attempt at a travel brush…
today was really about the brush, I got this idea nearly a year ago but had to wait until this week to get access to a lathe. But the Friodur did a great job on 2.5 passes.
Another days blessings from above

60TH Birthday shave! Opted for the maiden voyage of the highly acclaimed and much sought-after 174 - 5/8.
Mystery razor, that I think is French in origin.
Tech with Feather blade,
Rubberset 200-3 with mixed knot and Stirling Green soap and EDT. Because, hey, a man should always smell good on his Birthday.
It was a really good shave. Surprising, since it is one of those razors where the unknown (maybe ashamed to put his name on it?) manufacturer obviously cheaped out on the steel and made it all thin!
I had the C H Guerre out so might as well give it a go. Incredibly light razor. Soap and balm were Stirling Tangerine, and a Simpson’s 57 did the lathering.
And a nice 6/8+ Brookes and Crookes arrived today too. Pretty close to pristine - there’s some oil on the blade, that’s not tarnish or pitting.
The 6/8 Dubl Duck is absolutely one of my favorite shavers…beautiful paper thin grind! I rehoned it on my Zulu Grey with a full Japanese Nagura progression.
Cold River Soap Works Schapenmelk…couldn’t have been more surprised if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet! This is a top tier product at any price point, but to cost 10.95…forget about it!
100 Baba Queen
Edge: by Ryan Rodriguez
Soap: MDC Agrumes - very light orange scent
Shave: Fantastic
Aftersplash: Moroccan Rose by Tree Hut
I don't know much about this Japanese maker other than it was made mid 1900s
Any history on this razor would be appreciated, I see a Baba Queen pop up from time to time
