Such a great shave today.
Slept-in from a looooong days work yesterday.
Woke-up, had a bowl of Granola cereal with almond milk.
Let the food digest an hour, then went on a short (but fast) 2-mile run.
Then hit the shower and started the shave routine for the day.
Since I’ll be brewing a “Chocolate Pumpkin Oatmeal Stout“ for the Halloween season tomorrow, might as well get me in the mood, right?
So I pulled-out one of my trusty favorites, Southern Witchcrafts “Samhain” soap and splash. (Pumpkin, Sandalwood, Bourbon, Tobacco).
Took my time and did a moist bowl lather...and just enjoyed the scent throughout my shave.
My JR Torrey was recently honed (along with all my other “straights”), and it just feels so weighty and smooth.
Love the feel of that specific steel on my face.
Feeling good and relaxed.
Just enjoying the complexity of the scent right now

Slick Trick Magnum, 1 1/8”, 125gn.
Pre-1865 Osborn & Sons “Saturday” razor from the seven day set. I finished this blade on a Charnley Forrest, and it was a very very nice edge! However, for these razors, I think the edges off of the jasper are better. I will try the translucent ark next
