I bought the 415 Henckels the end of May then sent it out to be Professionally honed. It gives a really great BBS shave too.

Third shave with the MK31 and I couldn’t resist an ebony / ivory combo with the Plisson EW. The new blade is feeling comfortable in the hand now and I got a perfect shave. It might be the super hollow grind on this razor but it feels sharper. The strong audio feed back encourages a light touch. I really like this razor.

Today’s shave was great.
I used an “El Cheapo” Gold Dollar #208, which I learned to hone on, and which I corrected for a funky stabilizer. (A part of the stabilizer got in the way, and made accessing the heel of the blade edge a bit difficult during honing).
Ive heard Gold Dollars are notorious for funky stabilizers with their funky grinds. I can verify that.
Anyhoo...great shave.

Lather: WSP Sandalwood
Balm: WSP Sandalwood
Splash: WSP Sandalwood
Brush: WCS Beacon (Silvertip)
Bowl: Captains Choice (Large)
Shave was spectacular. Scent is the best sandalwood in the market. (IMHO).
WSP balm is super oily and tacky, which detracted a bit. But I’ve learned to use a super tiny dab...and it’s enough for my head, face, front & back of neck, part of my arms and knees. (Yeah...it’s THAT oily and tacky). But the scent is still spectacular.
Walked out of the Master Bathroom with a mean strut, and a sinister grin.
It’s gonna be a great day!

I love ck6 its hands down my favorite soap. It's fantastically slick, and it whips up into such a nice lather.

Completely agree. For shaving with straights this is the best soap I have found. I really want Cavendish and tombstone. They just sound great.
