First use for this brush. Fantastic! Beautiful and soft, but nice backbone (face lathered today).
And this was supposed to be the swan song shave for the Wacker. I haven't used it much since buying it, and figured it should go to a better home. But ... After today's sweet shave I think the right answer is for me to simply use it more.
Today's straight was the BaBa tanifuji 1000. When I got the razor it still had the factory edge on it. And the shave was horrible. I put it on a cheap JNAT I have and got a little better edge. It made just enough difference so when I ran it on the pasted balsa strop it became a great shaver. Sharp enough that I used just slightly too much pressure in one spot and it tore the hell out of the top layer of skin. I could see the skin torn at every spot the hair was in that one spot. I also got two Nick's. But every other spot was smooth and comfortable. I really need a good jnat.
I am also still trying to learn to get a good lather out of Mitchell's mug soap. So I'm sure that played a part in the little spot.

Two pass, WTG / XTG. Getting better. Starting to get a feel for it and have found at least one way to comfortable get at all areas. Closer result than last time but a bit of irritation. Too many attempts at some areas...

Had a great shave using this Vintage Russian Straight .It was made in my birth year. The blade removed two days of growth with little effort .Blade handles very well
3 pass WTG, WTG, XTG resulting in a high quality SAS with no discernible irritation. Right cheek approaching BBS levels. Have developed a game plan and razor hold for all areas now. The only way is up.
