Another day, another great bbs shave with my Gold Dollar. This morning my lather was near perfect, just the right balance between wet enough to be slick whilst still clinging on to my face. I seem to get better lather from a Simpsons Trafalgar T1 & bowl lathering than by face lathering with my Beagle, but I still love my Beagle.

Was all set up to use my Rex Ambassador, than I last minute shifted gears back the RA. GD Vertu got another go today. This vegan soap has a really interesting scent profile…love it.

C.V.H No 130 testing out the new stone, and the edge is good. IME diamond plate slurry on a freshly lapped JNat never gives up an edge as good as a good tomo slurry on a burnished stone, so I’m thinking this rock is superb - I’ll be refinishing the edge later today. Soap was PdP lathered with a SOC boar and a splash of Harris Pink finished up.

Finally, a comfortable shave! The quarter hollow felt solid and smooth as it moved across my face, without the skipping and jitters of the full hollows. I could get used to this!

I too prefer quarter to half hollows. Beautiful razor!
