Picked 'Der Kayser' up from Rasoir Sabre France. The tang is marked with crossed anchors and "Jürgen Hammer Geschmiedet in Solingen". This is a very standard blank forged in Solingen, of course, but just what did Jürgen do?

TGN 23mm boar
First use of the boar, though I did presoak twice. The soaks made it puff out quite a bit when dry, but still a bit of a struggle to generate lather. I’ll try to keep focusing on this brush through the next few weeks.

Evening shave today. Just for giggles I only did two passes, WTG and ATG. Cheeks are BBS with a DFS+ neck. Surprisingly good shave even though it wasn't completely up to snuff.
Todays 3 pass shave with this Paramount.

Second shave on a Feather Pro in this CJB holder. I'm curious to see how long this blade will last after my experience the other day when a blade with either 2 or 3 shaves on it basically quit cuttingat all. I have suspected for some time that my chin whiskers are rather wiry and destructive but I may have some confirmation of that today. My 3rd pass, ATG, started out buttery smooth on my right cheek, got a little more resistant on the chin, and was actually harsh for my left cheek. I guess I'll find out in a day or two when I go for shave number 3.
