I found a tiny little chip on the blade and decided to refresh its edge with 1um lapping film. 30-40 laps on the film plus 30 laps with a piece of A4 paper underneath and the chip has smoothed out.
I had 3 days growth and a single pass was enough to keep my face as clean as a baby's butt.

Fumbling about.
Yesterday I used this razor to get the closest straight razor shave I've given myself. I've shaved with a straight close to 400 times and am still learning.
My Pipe Razor was made by Geo. Wostenholm & Son in Sheffield, England. Before today it was quite sharp off flat stones. Today before shaving with the Pipe Razor I honed it on the finishing side of my Double Convex Arkansas 8x3 stone, perhaps 100 round trips.
During the shave I didn't notice how exceptional the shave was but immediately afterwards it was apparent. It remains apparent this morning almost 24 hours later.

@Polarbeard, bad news I’m afraid. I finally got my hands on this pristine pretty in ivory no less. Now I see no reason to ever turn loose the Zowada. But I’ll keep hanging pics.
