what soaps remind you of that barbershop smell?

As soon as I opened my new bowl of Omega Menthol & Eucalyptus, I was reminded of the barbershop. It didn't really smell that way when it was lathered, but then after I was done shaving I could detect that hint of 'barbershop' scent.

So, it got me thinking. I've personally only tried two soaps so far. The Omega is my second.

I guess there are a lot of great smelling soaps out there, but it seems to me that a lot of them don't have scents that would remind you of the barbershop.

For you, what soaps remind you of that great barbershop smell?

ARKO. To me it IS the smell of barbershops, as I've only had babershop straight shaves in Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa. Arko or Palmolive cream is all they seem to use there.

Just a guess here, but maybe Mama Bear's Ye Olde Barbershop?

Aftershaves evoke memories of old barber shops for me more than soaps. In my younger years, all barbers I went to used the "latherizer" type machines which had no scent at all.

Clubman and bay rum typw after shaves though always do it for me.

Oddly enough, Williams. But for me, the real smell is from Pinaud Clubman. Especially the talc, which is still applied after the neck shave.

Williams or the OLD Colgate Barbers Shaving soap, and Clubman or Jeris applied after the shave.
