Loaded a Schick in the SR for the comparison after several shaves with the Kai. I stand by what I said before: Kai is sharper, Schick is smoother, but the difference in sharpness is more than I initially thought. They are both good. And that's the comparison done - time to use some different razors!

Growth: 2 day beard
Prep: Warm shower: Stirling Sheep bar soap
Pre: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
Brush: Semogue 1470
Lather: Soap of the South 'Aqua Spa' (NOS)
Load/Lather Bowl: Old Spice Mug

Razor: Kai Kasho Woody
Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild (D5.5)

Post: Stirling witch hazel, PAA Mysterium Serum

I am continuing to try out different blades with the Kai Kasho Woody just to get an idea of what the blades are like with this razor. With the Kai Captain Titan Mild I think I should have used three passes on the neck instead of two as there was more stubble left than I would like. The Kai Captain Titan Mild is not as sharp as the Kai Captain Titan ProTouch MG which from my observations appears to be a Kai Captain Blade with a guard applied. To be fair, I have used a different soap or cream each time so I know that affects my results as well. Only two nicks today and no razor burn. That is a good sign since this is the first unguarded blade I have tried with this razor. This blade does work with this razor which is a good thing since I received a pack of those blades (and a nice leather case) with the razor. For my last two shaves, I have tried shaving with the holder as flat as possible to my face to see how the bump works.

Very much enjoyed tonight's shave.

3 passes no touch ups DFS+. I had a couple of micro wheepers I'm not sure if it was me or the blade, I'll give the blade another shave before I dump it and see how it goes.

First time out with the Vanta RA111.
Used a GSB blade. VDH luxury soap and a SOC Cherry Wood boar. A couple flea bites and a little patch of whiskers left on my old man turkey neck but i miss a bit with a safety razor sometimes. I'm pleased with the outcome. I used about the same angle I did when using my Gem Jr. Some witch hazel and Clubman to finish up.

My routine has been a bit off the past few days so I had more growth than usual. It was a pleasure to mow it down with the Weck. It's just so effortless. No blood. No Drama. Very nearly BBS.

Using the Weck after a couple of weeks of AC blade comparisons really does highlight again how well these Kismet blades seem to work for my particular skin / hair. Sharp and smooth. No trade-offs, as I found when comparing the AC blades.

To be clear, I do still enjoy my AC razors and obviously blade preferences can be subjective, but there's no denying that the Weck / Kismet combo really is an absolutely top tier shave experience for me! Thanks are due again to @Dave himself for his generosity.

Any time mate 👍.

Vanta RA111 GSB blade.
VDH soap/Semogue brush/Thayers Rose Petal Toner followed with Old Spice.
Second shave better outcome with 3 or 4 weepers. More nicks better shave. Next time will be better. My oldman neck is a problem area. I lathered and shaved my neck first so my cheeks weren't slick and I could stretch my face better.

Razor: Kai Kasho Woody
Blade: Schick P-30 (D2)

Touch ups:
Razor: Schick 500 Injector Razor
Blade: Chinese Schick

Post: Stirling witch hazel, PAA Mysterium Serum

This was my fifth shave with the Kai Kasho Woody but first time using the P-30 blade with it. I had one insertion weeper. I had a hard time cleaning up the chin area. I did multiple touch up passes with the Kai and eventually pulled out the Schick to take care of business. I am not sure if the fact that this was only the second shave on the P-30 blade played into issues or not. I think the P-30 could work well with this razor but it is definitely a step up in sharpness from the Feather Pro and Kai Captain Titan Mild. I will be curious to see how the Kai Captain Blade will do in this razor.
