Been missing my SRs, decided I at least had time to use my Focus Slim shavette.

This is the first time I've snapped a used blade to load. Gillette Platinum on 5. Worked well, very smooth. I could tell I was rusty at my shavette skills, but no blood!

Nice picture. I have been using my green Focus Slim Al this week after many months of absence. Fun to use this lightweight razor again.

I shave with my shavette about once or twice a month, just to keep my hand in. Last week I bought my first (for me) tuck of Gillette London Bridge blades. I will try half of one of these in my high precision all stainless steel Chinese shavette tomorrow with Sanofi (Australian) cream and my Chinese pure synthetic badger brush. The after-shave spash is local Clarifiance (Cebu).

The brush is my go-to for most of my shaves. It may not look great but I love the way is feels and works.

Although I'm not a fan of ultra-sharp half-DE blades in a shavette, the AliExpress SS copy with a Schick Proline is an amazing shave. It's a serious competitor to my straights. I can't quite believe just how good: parts of my face will be BBS with just one WTG pass!

I loaded up my Focus Slim with a Polsilver blade and got a great shave. 1 pass SAS and I’m happy.

I did a second Focus Slim shave with the second half of the Gillette Platinum. There was so much sticky wax on those half blades that my close-tolerance shavette was jammed closed! I got it open, but carelessly bent the dang tang a little. I was able to straighten it, but...

I will be more careful about cleaning off wax, and much more careful about opening a jammed Focus, next time. I don't want a next time.

I just got this aliexpress clone, and unlike the typical Feather/Kai clones, this one takes 1/2 DE blades. I like the feel and balance of the Feather Artist Club and the Captain Kai shavettes, and I have those. But I enjoy the option of selecting one of the many DE blades that I have and like. This 1/2 blade clone gives me all those options.

My first shave with this one was this morning with a 1/2 Lab Blue and it was a very comfortable shave.

I agree! It is a great shaver. I just took off 9 days of thick growth with my IBC and a fresh Gillette Wilkinson. Epic.
