Purpose: Dud blade check. 2 packs of 100 were purchased in 2019 and I wanted to verify if they have manufacturing defects. This is a blade selected from the second pack of 100 blades.

No nicks: 5
No irritation: 5
Closeness: 4.5
Smoothness: 5

Score: 9.75/10

No nicks, no irritation, close and smooth. Shave result is DFS+.

I did observe significant asymmetry of the grind with cheater assisted naked eyes. The asymmetry did not appear to impact the shave quality.

Conclusion: this blade is not a dud.

That is how Mostochlegmash make all their blades. Same with Rapiras. That assymetry is intended. On each side of the blade one grind is steeper than the other. Don't worry. I have been using Rapira SS for more than a decade. Everything is fine.

I replaced the device, I softened my beard better, and the results were great! This blade can still! It was just a user mistake last time. 3 passes, result almost BBS 9/10, without irritation or discomfort after shaving.

The combo produced an excellent shave. No irritation, no nicks, very close and very smooth. A BBS result. A very pleasant shave.
