My standby for a beard of less than 48 hours (and for that matter, one of 48 too): The postwar fat-handled Tech in gold, loaded with a Feather blade (3 shaves on it now). The combo of mild razor/sharp blade is hard to beat.

I usually stop at 5 shaves per blade, but this feels like it has at least one more in it. Whether or not it does, shave #5 was just as smooth, close and comfortable as shave #1. Definitely recommended.
