Razor: Gillette Fatboy, 195.....-Mfg 1959 4th qtr E4- great shave on settings upward 5,6,7 worked excellent.
Blade: Gillette 7oClock super platinum(Black)- great blade for a DE IMO.
Soap: Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore- on of my favorites , great scent and great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm (Sagradia Familia) A famous cathedral I visited in Barcelona Spain.
Pre-shave: Shower + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on Beard area, regular soap just makes my eye blood shot it seems.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pick ups.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of Avon true gent balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = :a17: excellent shave with 1959 Gillette Fatboy.

Have some great shaves!

Razor: Postwar FH Gold(ish) Tech
Blade: GSB (1)
Brush: Ever Ready F40
Soap: Sir Hare Barbershop
Post: Thayer’s WH

First time using this Tech. I like it. Of course, I like it - I love Techs.

Can’t tell a huge difference from my prewar triangle slot but it has been about a week since I used it. Plan to do a right side/left side comparison soon.

Very smooth. BBS on 3 pass without effort.

Also the first use of the F40 brush. Tried an ER 100 yesterday and decided it didn’t need to be re-knotted. The F40, however, definitely needs a new knot. Kind of scratchy and had to reload the brush for 2nd and 3rd passes.

I only use 3 blades for DE shaving
Feather, Astra SP and vintage Gillette Super Blues from the 50s and 60s
Feather is by far the smoothest blade out there, I use it in my Gillette Slim
I use the Astra SP and Super Blues in my Gillette Old type, sometimes I use them in my Slim on a 7 8 or 9, while I use the feathers on a 1 2 or 3 in my slim.
