Early 1960s Gillette flare tip/Personna Comfort Coated/Cremo original cream. I alternate between Cremo and Proraso Red. I'm applying less cream and rubbing in more water to whip it up more. Much better results.

Merkur 25c/Derby Extra

Put an o-ring between the blade and the cap. Totally different razor. That’s more like it! Experimented with the o-ring between the handle and the plate, between the blade and the bottom plate, and finally between the blade an cap. Bingo. Finally, a not-so-mild razor.
