1974-75 Schick L1
Schick Injector blade (1)

This NOS Schick was sitting in an airtight mailer can for 50 years until I got it, so I feel like I transported myself back to 1974 this morning for its first-ever shave!

I know the L-Type isn't as well-regarded as the earlier Schicks, but I disagree. This is an excellent smooth shaver that requires less care than the E and G types. I got a BBS shave with just a little skin stretching in places.

The first day on a Chinese Schick blade can be harsh, but I didn't experience that at all this morning.

This razor might move into my first rank.

Razor:
Pre-War Fat Handle Gillette Tech
Blade: Gillette 7-O Clock Permasharp Stainless. DAY # 3 USEAGE
Soap/Cream: Cremo Coconut - Mango
Bowl: N/A
Brush/Instrument: Fingers/Omega Boar
Extra Stuff: Witch Hazel

Today using my, Pre-War Fat Handle Gillette Tech. Did a Shave with 3 passes, With, Across, &, Against the Grain, using a Gillette 7-O Clock Permasharp Stainless, there was almost zero blade feel today, blade just glided, removed Beard. AWSOME BLADE. Lots of bang for buck.

Shave today was several tads short off the achieving a perfect, rating would be 9.8+. Results were because I payed more attention to Technique, reaped rewards, not BBS, but still Good Shave. This was the 3rd. Use of this blade.

Started New Tube Cremo Coconut - Mango, This scent is very very nice, it don’t know you over, but is present sent. Started This Tube of Cremo on 02/07/2025. Tried working in Cremo with my Omega Boar, it seems to helped getting Beard to stand up for closer shave. This New Sent is not as thick as previous Cremo’s, it is also more translucent Whiteish in Color verses Solid White like previous Cremo scented Creams.

Old Vintage Gillette’s, are good Razor’s, still working well enough to put a big smile on my face daily. These Old Vintage Pre-War Fat Handle Gillette Tech, an underestimated work horse, could be almost Grail Razor at 78+ years young. I am a Vintage Gillette Junkie, they work well with Sharp New Quality Blade IMHO. Could all These super pricy Razor be HYPE, as all you need is a Vintage, and GREAT BLADE? May my Old Pre-War Fat Handle Gillette Tech is a Sheep pretending to be a Wolf.
