What pre shave did you use today?

Ron R

I survived a lathey foreman
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Z-Pre shave products (2).jpg

I have been using these two products for years and I believe they help prepare the whiskers for the shave to almost full hydration and my skin seems to like them. The CeraVe hand bar cleanser is really nice for cleaning the eye area and does not burn the eyes and helps with allergies and dry eye symptoms IMO also. The brush is a joy to use and kicks up a huge lather of CeraVe in no time and very little is needed. 1 bar lasts me about 1 year it seems, women also use it for cleaning eye makeup also. Most folks know the benefits of Aloe Vera gel and I have been using this for over 25 years. These products do not clog up my shave gear also.

Paa lumb of cube pre shave soap

Due to the nice scent this one works your entire bathroom. But do not expect to smell anything else you apply afterwards the seasonal cubes are strong enough to overpower a lot of other soaps.
So for me liking strong scents nice to 3017 soaps which did not live up to my expectations

Oh and yes those cubes help for a smoother shave ;-)

My wallet cries.
I just use my daily facial wash: Spectrojel, its like this.. slippery cleanser... it feels like glycerin? But not sure what its made out of. I use it bc its slick, and its something I already have on the sink.

Paa holly-day cube

I have to say these are brilliant. They are strongly scented so they lighten up the entire bathroom and if you leave the door open probably the entire floor.
They can however overpower the main shave soap.
If needed you can shave with only this soap.
And they have unscented and mentholated versions.

Only drawback I have to order the seasonal scented ones direct at paa and shipping for a single item is terrible expensive to the Netherlands

Today was taking an old lover of the stable using stirling mentholated pre shave soap while I was using paa pre dominant lately
So the same setup as yesterday just stirling instead of paa.

and stirling did not disappoint
Whiskers were a bit softer As with paa.
However stirling is higher far most likely it mixes a bit less as paa with your main soap on top it tries to separate a bit.
In the end a great shave
