Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.

I've always used a wonderful pre-shave, water. Warm or hot water washcloth beard soak for about a minute then lather. I've tried some of the store bought pre-shaves, some smell nice but hot or warm water, for me, works perfectly
