The Bromley bergamot & lavender shave cream sample was my intended cream, but it wound up being a pre-shave. The stuff wouldn't lather, despite the wording on the packet that it was suitable for use with "shaving brush." And it felt thin and did not seem slick. I wound up employing my boar brush and my TFS Sera soap, and had a much better lather and shave.

Dedicated Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + followed by a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel.
CeraVe bar soap creates beautiful bountiful hydrating lather IMO. I even did a shave once with just it's lather.
