What order?

I have been having a dry skin problem under both eyes. After eliminating and changing almost everything I use it is still a problem. The only thing left to change is my shampoo.

I was talking to my girlfriend about how I haven't got a solution yet and she suggested I shampoo my hair then use facewash. I usually wash my face then shampoo. This is one of those things that I never really thought about but since my dry eye problem I got interested. Today I am going to shampoo then facewash. Is this the 'correct' way and have I been doing it wrong all these years???? :blushing:

It doesn't make a difference to me but then again I don't have dry skin. Why don't you lightly put on a lotion after showering?

Not sure changing the order you shampoo and wash your face is going to make a difference.

Dharion's suggestion of a lotion or moisturizer would be my suggestion, that or just drink more water. I used to scoff at people when they would tell me drinking water would help my dry skin. I don't anymore.

I think there is a correct order, but I agree that it's not going to do anything to correct your particular problem. It sounds like you need a good moisturizing eye cream? There are a ton of them. I highly recommend Osea Eyes and Lips. Whichever you use, put a small amount on your ring finger (your weakest finger, so not to damage the delicate eye area), and very lightly rub it all around your eyes.

You want to wash your hair, and then your face last, because when you're washing your hair, dirt and residue from your hair, the shampoo, or conditioner can rinse off onto your face.

Since you don't use shampoo under your eyes, I don't think the order will matter. If you have dry skin under your eyes, which is part of your face, you may want to try a new face wash and moisturizer.
