What's new

What motorcycle clothing do you have?

Since I ride almost daily, protection and comfort are important to me. Here's the gear that I have and use:

Leather Spidi jacket for the nice days; old but very comfortable (would be sold as vintage nowadays lol)
IXS Goretex jacket and pants; for the other days (most of the year here)
Macna mesh jacket and pants; for the hot summer days, and vacation

BMW leather touring boots (so that I can say that I ride BMW lol ... no, they are good boots for the money!)

Arai full face helmet, with a pinlock visor (almost required when riding in the fall and in winter)

Winter gloves / spring gloves / summer gloves, all from Held

So ... what is your favorite motorcycle clothing?

Well, if that's what you ride with, and are proud of, why not?

Haven't worn them since the late 60's

Back when I rode these little guys :001_smile

Cool!!

But also a bit impractical when riding through the Amsterdam city center lol

I don't know about that. I rode both of them to work (not at the same time).

Lived in the mountains and worked in downtown Los Angeles. Rode 80 miles each way. Had to stop for fuel each direction as the small tanks would not take me 80 miles.

What a contrast ... my fuel tank holds 230 miles (and sometimes I need to fuel up twice a day as well)

(but it looks a lot more bulky too)

Arai Vector
Olympia AirGlide 3 jacket & pants
Vanson armored gloves
Gerbing heated jacket & glove liners
TCX X-Five boots

ATGATT, period.

Depends on the season - I ride down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter. I live in a semi-arid steppe, so it works.

Lid stays the same - just a KBC VR-1 in black chrome. I wear a heavy thinsulate balaclava when it gets below 35 degrees.

Summer:
AGV Aero Sport jacket
Tourmaster Caliber pants
Danner Ft. Lewis boots (laces, I know - still love 'em)
AGV gauntlets

Winter:
AGV winter jacket
Tourmaster bibs
Danner boots
AGV gauntlets

Summers are comfy with the AGV jacket, but brutal with the Calibers - it gets up around 110-115 degrees hereabouts.

I have pretty legs though, so ATGATT!

Lets see, I have an ikon leather jacket, a first gear textile jacket, an alpinestars perforated leather jacket, and a joe rocket mesh jacket. I have BMW tour II pants, tour master bibs, and first gear bibs. More gloves than I care to enumerate, multiethnic boots, and at least four helmets. And a garage full of bikes.

I have a Frogg Toggs rainsuit and a Tourmaster jacket which has a removable liner and a removable outer layer so It is good to go from the low 20's to well into the 90's. Oh and I almost forgot several Sturgis t-shirts.

That jacket sounds useful!

For the real summer days (25 degrees and over, when we get them), I have a mesh jacket and pants. I know they don't offer as much protection as a good leather or textile suit, but being overwhelmed by the heat is more dangerous than having a bit less passive protection.

The only real danger of that mesh suit is drying out on long rides. You need to make sure you drink enough.
