I've tied a Shelby knot for years.
Not sure about Cameron, but Obama is a lefty, which may affect the direction of his knot.I get a kick out of this ... two world leaders (who lean different ways on the political spectrum) with 4-in-H knots leaning different ways (as well).
Why the Windsor is better:
Not because POTUS 40 is better than POTUS 41 ... but because it looks better.
I embrace the asymmetry of the four-in-hand knot, which looks classy to me.

I just found it amusing that they both tied their ties to lean the same way as their individual political leanings. Handed-ness hadn't occurred to me ... although from a technical standpoint that might explain the difference.

Turns out I use the Pratt knot. I had to look up some knots to figure out its name.

I generally use a Pratt knot, but I like your sensibility. I like that Mr. Hamm has the dimple off the side, too. Probably a good example of sprezzatura. I am very careful to have a dimple in my tie, usually carefully centered.
