''Thankfully'' most US artisan soaps are very hard (or expensive) to find here and I have avoided this rabbit hole..so far.

True, but there are also many Euro artisans making some great soaps...

I just shaved with a sample.
A smooth slick comfortable shave with an excellent lather.
It will replace the Haslinger Sandalwood in my rotation when it is 3017d.
Maybe the Lime?
It has had positive reviews.
