What is your CURRENT "AD" Profile???

Acquisition Disorders.... Most of us get them. Some fade, some remain fairly constant, others ebb and flow as we acquire and discard. Our tastes change. Myself, I went through serious AD's mostly razors and brushes. NOW all of a sudden after quite a bit of "Fidelity" to very few tools and products, the shaving software bug has bit me fairly hard. I have been exploring many new soaps, and other items like never before. I actually am enjoying this scented trip so I would imagine it has some staying power. How about you? What's your current AD profile???

I bought a few razors, 3-4 kg of soap and have a 5-10 year supply of AS. Still looking for the perfect boar but I am getting close so that one is almost over too. Picked up a couple of injectors but not sure yet whether they will ignite a new AD.

But blades man, I can't leave them be; whenever I spot something unknown to me I just have to buy and test them. I hardly have the time to use my fav blades because of all the new ones waiting for me. I am a true sucker for blades.

The bright side is that it is about the cheapest AD you can suffer from so not much harm done.

Will be soon finished with aftershave, only a couple more to buy,and then I will be moving on to soaps.
I have the perfect razor for me,a feather and blades is also feather.
Good on brushes too.

Soaps and creams. No longer interested.
Brushes. No longer interested.
Blades. Got plenty. No longer interested.
AS, ASB, WH, colognes, etc. Never was interested.
Mugs, just learned there are blue Old Spice mugs out there . . .
Razors, see my signature.

SSAD/SCAD: Done with most of my soap/cream AD. Still trying a few here and there but not crazy about it.

RAD: Pretty much done here too. Sold the fat boy, sold the slim, trying to sell the red tip, sold most of the superspeeds, the krona, the techs. Kept the 40's SS, aristocrat, DE89, and the Gtype injector

BAD: Sold the semogues, the other boars, the AoS brush. Kept the Parker silvertip. Trying to sell the parker king and vulfix. In need of a shavemac, rooney, and simpson.

RBAD: This one speaks for itself. I've ordered 1225 blades in the past two days. And this one continues. I've been looking at blades all day.

ASAD: Not a biggie. They're cheap. One of every splash and balm at grocery stores and i'm good.

In the age of the coveted Occupational Shaving Mug, if a Gentleman traveled to a higher end barber shop, of course his mug was typically back in Chicago, St. Louis, what have you... The barber utilized very nice mugs with numbers/numerals on them typically in gilt fashion. I really wanted to start a collection of them as well but they appeared wayyyy too pricey!

My current AD is debt!

My Shaving related AD's have almost come to a halt, but will start to increase in the next month (I can sense it!)

I posted a while ago that I was satisfied with my collection as it is.
A good representation of Gillette's over the years.
The Old Types and pre 1950's razors didn't (note the past tense) interest me.
Well guess what?
Because of you evil enablers (yeah, i'm blaming YOU) I have a nice cased single ring and a single ring that I'll use. I'm looking at an aristocrat right now and I don't see an end in sight.
(thank you)
What have you done to me?
(I'm very happy spending money on razors)

You are losing your grip on reality while gaining a grip on your razor(s)!

It is hard to find a soap I have not tried, that one solved itself.

Aftershave is settled down for now.

Having a relapse on brushes.

Straight razors may top them all.:blushing:

Buying has slowed to a crawl. I've been using the same straight razor and brush every day for over two months. I still buy the occasional soap or cream, but rarely find a new one I like. I think I'm in a rut, which is okay because I'm broke!
