Good day all. I recently acquired this razor and am curious if anyone knows if this handle is an authentic Gillette handle. The head is an old type with no serial number. Thank you!

Old Type with a Durham Duplex solid handle. Many of the Gillette ball-end handles cracked and/or fell apart, that was a common fix.

Ha, I posted the same thing a few weeks ago. Same exact looking razor. 
I’ve seen a few old types with the duplex handle. It makes a good fit. I have acquired a couple of old types with Star handles over the years too.

Gotcha thanks for clarifying. This handle adds a bit more weight to the razor. I am looking forward to seeing how that affects the shave. All the best.
Here's mine. I like the extra weight a lot but it's not a huge favorite. I normally prefer a slant or a closed comb. Post back here and let us know how it goes.
I have purchased a few Gillette’s just like that. Good handle, I quite like it.

Could that not also be a Wade and Butcher handle? They certainly look similar but I am no expert.
