Just saw this at an antique shop and couldn't leave it but have no idea what it is. No markings at all, unusual base plate. Hoping someone smarter than I can identify it.
Good find! I found one early on in my DE journey and hacked myself up pretty badly; it sits on the shelf now as a display. Perhaps I will try it again now that I'm a little more experienced. Good luck with it!

I am surprised about that, BowTie. This razor is obviously designed for the old Gillette blade which was much thicker than the blades we use today. Without shims I would expect the pre-1930 Gillettes and their clones to be extremely mild due to the lack of spacing between the blade and the guard. Maybe someday I will get to test that educated guess (I haven't had the pleasure of using a pre 1930 razor as of yet). I did come across a source in Russia that still manufactures and sells a blade of the old design but I forgot to bookmark the site and don't remember the site address so I am unable to link it here.
