I just got my first NEW brush, a duke 3, and upon first lather/use it has probably lost a good 25-30 hairs. Seemed to be most at first, less near the end of use. I know it'll lose a few for the first few weeks but is that acceptable? I assume it should stop shedding hair for the most part after a month at most?

That certainly sounds like a lot of hair loss, Reggie. Let the brush dry thoroughly (at least 24 hours) and give it a good combing. Shampoo it with your hair shampoo. Use paintbrush strokes and light pressure on the tips. If this doesn't cure the issue following an additional couple weeks of normal use, I would be even more concerned. Contact the manufacturer at that point and they will advise you further.

So somewhere between 20-30 isn't normal? I didn't count and didn't take a picture but there was more than 10, that's for sure. I'd assume it should taper off at this point though?
