What is a japanese straight called?

I just picked up a japanese straight razor and I'd like to do some research on them. I'm having poor luck on search engines using variations of "traditional antique japanese straight razor." does anyone know if these things have an official name or if there is a repository on info on them somewhere?

Japanese Straight Razor

You won't be able to find much info on them as they are viewed quite low by Japanese sword/steel makers. They don't dislike them - they're just considered more like as utility item for them... like a manual toothbrush.

I don't think you will find much info on them anywhere but a library in Japan maybe. Basically no one really use them anymore. Some barbers use disposables for shaving women's faces but I think you'll find the electric is king in Japan.

Okay, I see. Thanks all. I have actually searched both of those phrases. I think "totsuke" is one particular smith, no? Wa-Kamisouri didn't yield much either.

Oh well. Shame there's no info on them. I guess not many collect them.
