What is a good mustache wax?

I've tried Clubman mustache wax, which was terrible. I bought it at CVS, and it came out hard and went on flaky. All it did was leaving white residue on hair even after I warm it with hot water. Maybe it had just been sitting on the shelf for a long time.

In any case, can someone recommend a good mustache wax that goes on smooth and holds strong? I just want all the hairs to go in the same direction.

Bounders and Canadian Plus are both good choices. I think Bounders gains a few points because its made with Navy Rum.

+1 on Bounders. Also check on Firehouse. It's a bit pricey but very nice. Lately, I've been using a stick of hair wax that I found while cleaning out the bathroom. It's called Stuck-Up Waxx by Headwear. It smells very pleasant, goes on neutral, and it keeps my 'stache in place all day.

I make my own which I think is the best way to do it. You can scent it how ever you like and make it to the exact hold you want.
Basic ingredients I use are beeswax and petroleum.
