What's new

What is a good long handled shave brush?

Also, Heritage collection shaving has some great replicas coming out for longer handles like Merit. Here's one example on the right.

I’ve got this one, but I had to make it myself. Horsehair knot.

For scale, here it is with a standard size brush turned by a friend:

I got a long handled brush from Rudy Vey recently. It's a hefty handle but it gives me good grip and weight to work with.

I really love his faux ivory handles. I've heard that you can even see the "grain" much like with real ivory. Enjoy that brush. It's beautiful.
I think he has couple different variations of the faux ivory. Mine is pretty smooth without grains but I've seen couple with the natural-like grains. It is nice looking regardless.

West Coast Shaving Infinity handles are pretty long. Their website shows many / most out of stock, but maybe they'll get more in.

Been trying to find one of those forever. I can take out a mortgage and get a reconditioned one, but really can't afford that. I'm waiting on my Razorock 400, arriving tomorrow or Friday.

Gee, you want it affordable, too? Picky, picky, picky! :001_tt2:

Thank you Rudy Vey! 😃👍

I will be using the new brush when we start Winter Quarter at Bates Barber College on 2 January 2020. The diminutive Marvey shave brush will be given away to another barber student. 💈

Just got a timberwolf, red swirl barberstyle from Maggards Black Friday sale.

Love it. Knot is fine, quality is superb, but the shape is what counts. Fingers go over and stop; very comfortable and effective.

Vie Long horsehair and Omega synthetic. Both decent choices. Paladin shown alongside Omega for size reference
