What's new

What have you guys done to me....obsessed...who me ?

So it's two months since I first found this place and even less since I started DEing.

I'm glad to say though that it's all been worth it, I'm now getting the best shaves I've ever had in my 44 years and I look forward to shaving every morning.

However I find myself

-checking B&B ever day at least several times
-going into opp shops, antique shops, supermarkets, specialist stores looking for shaving related stuff.
-checking Ebay for razor related auctions
-emailing overseas suppliers of shaving equipment.....

The list just goes on and on, it's gone from shaving every day to an obsession :001_rolle

All the stuff I've acquired is spread over a number of drawers and cupboards at the moment and all I have normally have on the sink is my SSilcox stand, 2 razors and my aftershave balm.
( Which is probably pretty lucky since if wifey saw all this together........... :a13:...That being said she did buy me the Dermologica kit.... )

Being a Saturday Afternoon I figured I'd get everything out I've acquired in the last two months..............

Here's the results.

Yep, DEing is heaps cheaper than buying cartridge razors........NOT !!!

( oh and lately I've been thinking about adding a few straights....must resist )

Oh and a big thank you to all the gentlemen ( and ladies ) on this board, for assisting me in my "odyssey". You are all a pack of............. :001_smile

I won't name everthing but razors are:
Aristocrat #16, F1 FatBoy, I1 Slim, I3 Slim, English Alutech, T1 Knack, English Balltech ( oh and there's 2 more techs in other places )
( I've been lucky that I've only had to pay "market price " for one of these razors )

You need another brush or three. And at least two Merkurs. And you haven't shaved until you've used 7 o'clock Yellows and Nivea (German or Indian) shave cream. Oh, and Cremo Cream from the US.

Welcome!!

All I can say is.....

it gets worse before it gets better.

Call it a hobby, not an obsession. Then it sounds classy. It's all in the spin.

Nice den. Now where is the rest of it?

I think Cremo is the equal or better than a lot of high-end creams... super slippery stuff. T&H and a number of the ToBS creams are certainly worth trying.

If you want to lather Cremo with a brush you need a little more quantity than some others - but at the price point, it's still excellent value.
