What's new

What have ya'll done to me! lol

I would have been happy with my little Feather Popular, Old Spice, and Omega shaving cream, but no. I came to this forum, and found out about things I hadn't heard of before. Saw many more razors, soaps, and after shaves. Now my addiction is growing faster than the my trees can grow the money.

Here is what I have accumulated since I started wet shaving earlier this month:

I still really want several more soaps, although I love Arko. There are a ton of after shaves I am dying to try. I really want a Slim, Sheraton, Knack, Lady Gillette, some more Super Speeds, and I would Kill for a toggle, lol. I am absolutely fascinated with the TTOs, so if there are any other models out there that I haven't seen, or hear of point me in their direction please.

I am really thankful for all the help, guidance, and entertainment I have received since joining this forum.

Looks like you've got a decent start there, but it looks like 1) you need about 7 badger brushes and 2) you've yet to cultivate a fascination with 2- or 3-piece razors. No collection would be complete without 5 to 40.

Anyway, to address your question about TTOs. Any one that you don't have in your collection is one you need. I'm fond of the 40s gillette super speed with no date code. I think it shaves a little differently than the later super speeds.

Great collection Buzz Kill! I really like the feather popular, too!

Thanks Nate,
Brushes, for some reason, don't really interest me. I would like a nice brush, but there is no "gotta have it" feeling with them.

I agree the 40's style SS have definitely caught my eye.

I'm sure my collection will grow to include more non-TTO razors. It just depends on what catches my eye, and is affordable.

TRUST me! You will get the brush thing. And it's bad. BAD will grab you, grab you big, and you will be amazed at how much money you will spend in no time. Ahhhh..but ain't it fun?

I think we all have different vices. Brushes and razors aren't mine (only have two brushes and one razor, but I do want one more of each). My vices are soaps and aftershaves. I'm up to about 10 soaps now, and 6 aftershaves. And I still have more soaps I want to get.

Didn't you read the warning at the door when you came in?

BTW, you need more shave sticks. If you like Arko, then you will love Wilkinson Sword shave stick.

I can say one thing about all of this, I fracking love it. I enjoy everything about shaving now. I do however wish the voice in my head would stop saying more, more, more, lol.

Just wait till you discover the joys of SE razors. I have a large collection of old Gillette DE razors that go unused now that SE's have come into my shaving life.

I used my Krona the last couple days, and absolutely love it.

What are some other TTO's that I should be on the look out for?

That Wilkinson Sword Stick has been on my list for awhile now, so has the bowl of derby.

We all started the same way. For me, my initial interest was vintage brushes--restoring and reknotting them. But the AD's grow and expand. After a couple of years now, I've been attempting to have my collection more well rounded, representing all aspects of wet shaving. I don't think I'll ever get to the point of Mr. Razor (at least I hope not) but things keep expanding. Fortunately it's not nearly as bad as when I began collecting vintage guitars or Rolexes, because at least now I can get a great deal of satisfaction over a new $20 aquisition.
