What goes with a bomber jacket?

So I recently found a great deal on a leather bomber jacket with a very light colored fur on just the collar, and I'm curious as to what to wear with it, I was thinking brown or black leather gloves, but I have no idea what hat to wear with it, or what shoes as I will be wearing jeans with it. I don't want to look like a fool wearing this thing so help me out haha

Definately need aviator glasses. Any decent boots would look good. Not sure what your overall style is though

I think you are over thinking. You can wear any shoe or glove color or combination of colors.
It's a casual jacket.......You might look out of place with a suit but not much else. IMHO...
I wear a brown one,Minus fur collar, A-2 style.

+1 to the aviator sunglasses. You also need a racing motorcycle to ride. If you can, carry an MP3 player and constantly play "Danger Zone".

Leather gloves should match the color of the jacket. Hat? I only ever wear one out of necessity, i.e. when it's really cold. I have a black leather jacket and just wear a black knit cap when it's really cold. I wouldn't worry about the rest. Anything casual should work. I probably wouldn't wear it with anything too dressy or formal.

Here's my question regarding this type of jacket. With leather jackets that sit at the waist, do you leave the bottom of non-tucked shirts sticking out of the bottom or do you end up tucking the bottom of the shirt up under the waistline of the jacket when you are wearing it zipped up?

I'd say you could wear anything you want. Khaki's or jeans, t-shirt or button-up, sneakers or dress shoes.

Like little big feather said, a suit would look odd, but brown vs black is a non-issue to me when it comes to a bomber jacket.

No, but seriously I would wear 'all of the above' you stated.

what's nice about a bomber is it's flexibility. the only time it will look silly is when paired with other aviation accessories. unless you're in flight school and your call-sign is maverick, tone it down with the military themes (boots, glasses, scarfs etc). i think bombers look best when dressed way down and preppy. think chinos instead of jeans. think clubmasters/wayfarers instead of aviators. think blucher mocs instead of boots.

actually, think JFK instead of tom cruise and you'll do just fine.

Yeah that's about right. Tone it down as in don't wear aviator sunglasses with it.

I'd say the best look, in keeping with the classic look of the men who were issued them, is with the shirt tucked into your khaki-colored khakis. A bomber jacket is casual, but its origin is as part of a military uniform, which requires neatness.

No sneakers. Just about everything else should work without any trouble. I would wear khakis, a white oxford, black boots, black gloves and a billowy light coloured scarf, but that's just me.
