What for the fall or year round

Here is what I have: Green Irish Tweed (year round), Millisime Imperial (late spring to early fall); Tauer L'Air du Desert Morocain (year round); Montale Red Vetyver (summer) and am getting Lorenzo Villoresi Uomo.

I just bought Le Labo Rose 31 and on me, it turns fecal. I do not think Rose scents are for me: Pasteum Rose, too fruity, Hamman and Blenheim Bouquet, either too piney or something. Rose Poivree by TDC, too something.

I love spicy, and Idole would be great but it dies after 4 hours. Les Neredes Imperial Oppoponax is too vanilla, and Chergui got to be too powdery (I know they say that there was no reformulation but I think there was - more hay now, less honey goodness). Yerbamate goes powdery on me, and vanilla and powder and I do not get along.

So, I am thinking going back to Piper Nigrum, though to the end, it gets creamy (amber I think) or Cuba by Czech and Speake. They say maybe try Havana by Aramis that is being reissued. thoughts or other suggestions?

Sure. Havana or Cuba. T&H Grafton seems versatile to me. Creed Bois du Portugal seems like fall to me. Or New York by Parfums de Nicolai.

Maybe you need some leather. Or burning tires and used motor oil. How about K 10?

Am I the only one that thinks Creed SMW is really versatile? I think it works year round.

Halston Z12 for fall. Azarro.

K10- too heavy and leather for me. Leather and I dont play nice - like Lonestar Memories, or burnt rubber (Bulgari Black)

I do have CDG 2 Man for year round.

I am thinking between Cuba and Havana really.

I like Bois du Portugal, but Wife says too lavendar and old mannish. With two Creeds, I am full up in that line.

CDG 2 Man has some leather and smoke and the like in it, too, does it not? I agree with Obsessed, no surprise there!

Cuba and Havana are going to have tobacco and wood. and I would have said leather, but basenotes says not for both. How something that is supposed to be Carribean got to be something for Fall, but I think it works fine. But I am in no way objective when it comes to Havana. (Or Cuba, but Cuba seems a little liight on the tenacity, and Havana has been away so long!) I completely understand you attraction to them.

Obsessed, what do you think of SMW as a Fall or year round scent? I seem to have been wearing it exclusively for the past ten days or so. So far, it never disappoints.

I think it's a fine fall scent.

I also think that since I spent the money on it, I have to wear it, regardless of the season!

Have you tried John Varvatos Vintage? It is my perfect fall scent. Spicy, lasts all day, good sillage, and best of all affordable.

What about Pen's Opus 1870, I think its a nice fall scent, and you like pepper, don't you?

I'd say: ignore the season and wear what you like....always.

I did a lot of looking about what folks said about Aramis Havana on-line in connection to another B&B thread. I was interested to see that an number of folks talked about it as a summer scent, while others talked about it as a fall scent. So there is no clear line of demarcation re seasons.
