What exactly is Tabac's scent?

My wife and I were sniffing at the bowl of Tabac and both were a bit stumped at how we would describe the scent. It's very reminiscent of some classic splash colognes, but we couldn't really pin point it.

Does anyone have a more definitive insight? Just wondering.

I'm no good at describing scents, but to me it's flowery, soapy, spicy--awesome!

To me it smells like Plasticene from when I was a kid. If they made Tabac that smelt like roses or limes or almost anything else but Tabac, I'd never use anything else

It's smells like ummm let me think now..................Tabac. It's unique that's for sure. I actually think it smell's good but it seems to be a pretty divisive topic.

I actually think it smells fine; somewhat powerdery, but decent. My wife thought it smelled a bit like Jean Nate from when she was a child. It's too bad the EDT smells different from the soap, we'll never really know what is in it.

While I love the stuff, the best description I've heard was that it smelled like the drawer your old grandma kept her underwear in. I kind of agree.

I have tried it and to be truthful, I couldn't get past the smell. I just couldn't bring myself to use it so I tossed it. YMMV, but if you can get a sample it would be better before you spent you money. Some people love it and some don't.

I never sniffed that drawer, or any drawer for that matter, so I will have to take your word for it. That probably is information better left unsaid.

Just the drawer, which I am assuming had a sachet with tobacco and other herbs and spices and flowers in there that made the drawer smell like Tabac. Unless of course they were in there to sniff the underwear and noticed the Tabac-like smell.

Initially, tabacco and talc-like powder notes. (I think the Grannie's drawers comments come from this note.)

After a couple weeks use: Rotting compost that include Grannie's drawers.

I'm in the minority of those who do not like the scent of tobac. I'd describe the scent as "eau du old german man." :
