What's new

What ever happened to Cory Greenberg , father of wet shaving's current boom ?

No denying there were wet shavers before Cory Greenberg's Today show segment but I read that the day after his appearance on national TV shops like Classic Shaving sold more goods in that one day then in the whole year before .

I just hope that the next thing he gets into is something I don't like.

I faintly remember that show. I went looking for my cup and brush and tryed hot lather again but it took too much time back then when I was morning shaving so I let it drop by the wayside till I read an article on ATOM a few years ago and google up B&B.

"Worldwide" shaving "boom?" Hardly, IMHO. Classic Shaving got a specific mention, I was told, and prospered therefrom. I don't know anyone personally who saw this segment and have myself never seen it. READ about it on ShaveMyFace.com
Haven't seen the demographics but my GUESS is that the Today Show is more viewed by women than men, depending on the specific time segment. Many men are commuting to, or are already at, their jobs between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. weekdays. And the show doesn't have a huge "worldwide" viewership.
corey's rep is that if this were a horse with real legs, Corey would still be riding it.
Forums like this have done more to spark a mild resurgent interest in this vocation/hobby/obsession/whatever, but no doubt exposure in the "mainstream" media hasn't hurt!
