What Does Your Profile PictureMean

Mines of my Roush mustang. Quite rare, over here in Blighty, and I'm Drag racing it on one of 4 proper drag strips in the whole of the UK...you guys over the pond are so lucky to have these cars, with all of the mod shops and garages that can fix and mod them for you, she's my pride and joy, supercharged and year 2006

The Count of Merkur Cristo

B&B's Emperor of Emojis
My profile pic & avatar is the fictional character Edmond Dantes in Dumas's illustrious book as the barber of Livorno (after cutting his long hair, uses a straight razor ["Merkur of course. King Gillette... I'll have my revenge yet"]) to shave off his beard after 14 years of isolation. And as he sits in the chair of the horrified barber, Edmond coyly says…"Yeah, guess I haven’t kept up with the grooming". The others waiting in line are sailors (i.e.,smugglers), who had rescued Dantes from the sea after his escape from the prison of ChateauD’If.

Moreover, besides liking my profile pic, avatar and humorous shaving related username, I really enjoyed that book and can sympathize with him. He was a good man, yet unsuspecting, magnanimous and just a little naive in nature that only needed inner strength to overcome. Almost all through my life, I have known that to live in this world of human affairs, one should be worldly-wise.

Any reason your profileic isn't your avatar pic as well?

My avatar is a pic I shot of my dog being his normal lazy self. My profile pic represents me, since IRL I'm a chemist.

Mine is a toy Indiana Jones doll that I got at an office Christmas party a few years back. I kept him on my desk. My coworkers create a game of sorts in which they would take Indy from my desk and hide him somewhere in the office. He went on these "adventures" many times a week. I usually would find him hiding in a plant or dangling from the ceiling. It was rather amusing.

Mine is my 16lb male tabby, who is named Loki. He's wild as hell at times, climbs anything he can to get up high and pounce (what he was doing in the pic, about to pounce off a shelf). He also runs through the house at full gallop, chasing his much smaller 8lb sister at top speed, which sounds like a small horse barreling through my home and this is often happens at 3am...and I never wanted kids because I enjoy peace and quiet. :confused1

Mine is a granite floor , walls ,and elevator surrounds i did in one of our local buildings. The project took 8 months to do. That was just the granite.I left 64 dollars worth of new pennies under the stone panels. One under each panel i set for the first 4 months . After that i was sick of looking at pennies. One day someone will be pulling up the floor far in the future and wonder where all those pennies came from.

My other hobby is motorcycling. That's me on my bike, a Suzuki 650 V-Strom adventure tourer. It's also my daily commute vehicle.

Mine is the flag of Argentina. My mother was born there and although I was born in the States, I still feel connected to the culture there. My avatar is of the badge used on their soccer team's uniform.

mines is my Turntable, a Technics SL-1200 Mk2.

I love vinyl, so either my pic or avatar usually reflects that...currently using "Mr Christmas" as the kids are big Mr Men fans, so they get a kick out of seeing him on the screen.

Mine doesn't mean anything in particular. It's just Mr. Bean shaving his tongue with a Remington electric. I just thought it was funny.

"Oh, the shark has pretty teeth, dear
And it shows them pearly white
Just a jackknife has MacHeath, babe
And it keeps it way out of sight
When that shark bites with his teeth, dear"

Its a song, for you youngsters who may not be hip

The OP asked about profile pictures, not avatars.

What Hoosier Said. The OP is asking about PROFILE pics, not AVATAR's, which people don't have. you can have your Avatar and Profile pic the same, different or one use or the other.

I always have them different, just to mix it up.

Profile pic is the same as my avatar. it points to my love of problem solving complex issues with elegant solutions. Or, conversely, whacking it with a FooStick until it works or goes pear-shaped.
