What do you do with the dottle from your pipe smoking? Do you discard it, add fresh tobacco to it, remove it and add it on top of fresh tobacco (particularly if smoking more than one bowl at a sitting)? I recently resurrected my late fathers pipe collection. I found that a couple of his pipes contained smokable (?) tobacco a couple of decades old. Just wondering what is the common practice. Do you smoke your pipe to completion or discard some portion that is left over?
