What do you do with extra lather?

I sometimes underestimate my soap's lathering abilities, and end up with way too much loaded in my brush. However, I like most of my soaps so much, I feel bad wasting it!

Sometimes I lather up the extra on my face, with no intention of making another pass with my razor. For instance, today's La Toja stick. It was much more useful on my face than going down the drain. Am I crazy?

What do you do with your extra lather?

I eat it on my waffles instead of whipped cream.

Really though, soap is cheap. I don't worry about wasting a bit of lather each shave, since in the big scheme of things it won't make much of a difference. I don't see how it's really useful to out extra lather on your face, particularly having already lathered up for several passes, but if you enjoy it then more power to you.

Won't lie...I do it. Depending on the scent and moisturizing properties. Any leftover MWF or RR Don Marco automatically go on the face to soak in while i clean/arrange the den after a shave.

I love seeing extra lather going down the drain cause the quicker I use a product up the sooner I can try something else on my list. The only time I put extra on my face is if it's a scent I really love and I want to smell it later on.

Anything in the container or near the edge gets scooped back in. Anything on the sides or bottom of the container gets rinsed away.

Anything left in my lathering bowl goes into the shower with me and becomes a face/body wash.

Same here. I find letting MWF soak in leaves me feeling extra soft.

i sometimes do as others do...after my last pass i do a nice massage with my brush and extra lather...focusing on my goatee ... then sometimes i rum it into my face a bit with my hands to get some of the moisturizing properties from the soap. then rinse alum as splash and as milk...

For my last pass, I squeeze the remaining lather from my brush and apply an extra thick coat.

Anything left over gets washed away. :scared:

I squeeze out my brush and just admire what an excellent product and what a fine job I did making lather. Then I rinse it down the sink.

Never worried about remainders doing long division.

Never worry about leftover lather.

(I can imagine the Gen Ys scratching their heads right now wondering what long division is...)

Well that is just an unfair characterization, good Sir! I am a Gen-Yer and there is no reason to assume that because most of my peers are bratty technophiles with short attention spans and entitlement issues that I too share the--brb gotta check Facebook
