Dyptique Tam Dao remind me of the smell of wood shop in High School. While they are not my favorite sandalwoods, Le Labo's Santal 33 and Diptyque's Tam Dao are good options for someone looking for a kinda inexpensive sandalwood fragrance.

I didn't mention that I HATED shop class sin High School also. LOL!!I think scent critic Luca Turin described Tam Dao as smelling like furniture polish. I, and lots of other people, perhaps including Hr. Turin, like the scent. It is not a pure sandalwood, of course. Few scents are. I am not sure it is sandalwood centric. Cedar centric, perhaps, and not Mysore sw, which is not a dis.
Scent memory is very evocative of old memories and feelings they say!I didn't mention that I HATED shop class sin High School also. LOL!!
Oh, heck, yes!I kind of like Villoresi's Sandalo. Also not a pure sandalwood--there's a lot going on in it.
