Gents,

Your assistance in identifying some razors, please?

The top razor came in a Milord Case, but I believe it to be an Aristocrat.

The middle razor also came in a case, and I believe it is a Milord.

The third razor, is uncased.

None of the razors have date codes.

Thanks in advance for the assistance, and I can provide more photos, if needed.

My my, that top one is a 55' Gillette Diplomat, my favorite razor.

The second is the Milord and the third is a 40's style SS.

Very nice bunch of goodies.

Ray, how can you tell that is a diplomat vs. an aristocrat? I was just curious...

The lower band just above the TTO knob is knurled on the Diplomat and on the Aristocrat the band is smooth.

I use Red IP's on a regular bases and a feather for a treat. Derby's work well too.

I stand corrected. There is a date code. I had to whip out the magnifying glass to find it. (Hmmm, taken out of context, that would be very bad...)

In any event, the date code is A2. I will post photos later.

Fabulous. While I'm not as big a fan of the Aristocrat as many over here, the Milord and 40's superspeed are wonderful. In any event, all 3 are gorgeous and you have a great haul over there. Great.

I can tell you the Diplomat gives some very smooth comfortable shaves.

Here are some photos after further cleaning and polishing.

It also drew blood several times, two of them requiring a styptic because my aim was bad and almost gave myself a nostrilectomy.

So I am seriously considering putting this up for sale, but it is so nice and shiny, I just may keep it as a collector's piece...
