What did you write about today?

In the vein of "Whats in your pocket today?" or "Whats in your converter?", I decided to start a thread about what we wrote today. Could be anything; your journal entry subject, an angry letter for some cause, a love letter to the wife or a note to the kids, etc. As we all know, people don't write by hand enough these days and that is a shame. Maybe by sharing here, we can be inspired to write more and be all the better for it.

I will start off.

Tonight, I wrote in my journal about redemption. I'm currently reading Les Miserables and I'm fascinated by Victor Hugo's writing. So I thought I'd muse about redemption and why it makes such an involving literary topic. It was enjoyable and I went 3 pages which is a huge journal entry for me.

Anyone else care to share what they wrote out or wrote about?

The past couple of days I've been writing about the recent events in Newtown, CT, which occurred just a couple of miles from where I work in another town. I'm not personally acquainted with anyone involved, but it's amazingly close to home, and it's rather difficult to digest. Various musings about what happened, how people have been reacting, how the news media have handled it, a short verse, just getting it out of my system.

My normal journal is mostly blather about "my day", which I'll never care to read again, just a way of winding down. If I write anything more serious, marginal notes show what parts might be worth revisiting some day.

Well I'm at work so I have been writing down a fair bit of part numbers, but between orders I have been writing letters to friends and family for Christmas. Sadly I have run out of ink so I will have to wait until I get home if I want to make any journal entry... though what it is about I would be remiss as a gentleman to bring it up on the forum
