A WILKINSON SHAVE

Two days Whiskers

Pre-Shave: Proraso Pre Shave Cream (I)

Soap: Lea hard Soap (SP)

Brush: Merkur 138 C Barber Pole Silvertip 22 mm knot (Germany) - this is a brush of many qualities. The handle is a beautiful chrome plated gripy Barber Pole. The loft is small in height, but does its job pretty well. The knot is 22 mm in diameter and gives the necessary backbone, while not being fantastic.
I think a 22 mm knot is in the low end of efficacy for a Silvertip, specially when comparing with this other 22 mm knot that I have in a Simpson M7 Manchurian which feels, for me, much better on one's face - I like backbone.
This 138 C also did a good job by loading and producing a high quality lather.
So, while not being outstanding in neither of the items that score for the classification of a brush, in the overall this guy is an effective and competent brush, besides its beauty.

Wilkinson Sword Classic TTO (Germany) - this is a nice, shiny and cheap entry razor. The silo doors work very well and the grip is very acceptable.
It's a mild razor that can be upgraded with a top tier blade.
Anyhow it provides an outstanding shave when comparing with a cartridge 5 blades tiger.

Gillette Nacet Stainless (Rus) - One shave old, it gave the necessary agressiveness to the WILKINSON SWORD TTO SR.
Impeccable performance.

Aftershave:

1) Cutoline Alum-block (P)

2)Proraso Lozione Dopobarba (I) - I like this big bottle containg the marvelous Hulk splash.

3) Proraso Aftershave Balm (I)

The Shave: 8.75/10.
DFS for sure.
Very mild irritation that soon faded.
No cuts, weepers or nicks.
1st pass : WTG.
2nd pass: XTG E-W on face and ATG on neck.
3rd pass: ATG on face and neck, except on the mustache area - XTG W-E.

10/10 Again! It’s been quite a good week of shaves!

Took today off work today just because and went for a bike ride this morning. Later shave than usual yielded an outstanding result!

Have a great day everyone!

Soap: Ethos Greenfresh F Base, just arrived today very nice 👍
Razor: Ti Blackbird
Post Shave: Ethos Greenfresh Skin Food Splash 💦

I have Ethos Greenfresh regular base but quit using it once F Base was released, so was excited when they finally released Greenfresh in F Base. The splash just takes it to another level.

How’s the cooling effect on the soap? Is it as subtle as Frank describes it. I love this scent, I have the greenfresh scented serum that I apply before bed but generally stay away from cooling soaps.

Post: Captain’s Choice Italia

Good evening! Went with another bowl lather, which again, is a rarity for me, and again, I was pleasantly surprised at the performance of the lather. I guess my hang up is there’s a certain consistency of lather I can get when face lathering that I can’t reproduce in the bowl. With a quick face lather I can build a thin slippery with great residual slickness that I just can’t make happen in the bowl. But I must say, I’ve been pleased with the bowl lather, so maybe I’ll stay on that for a little. Less need to rush with these evening shaves anyway.

Super comfortable 2 1/2 pass shave, minimal feedback from the aftershave (I love the scent of Italia). BBS

Pre-shave: shower, Jack Black Pure Clean
Soap: Parker Sandalwood and Shea butter
Brush: Parker Olivewood/Silvertip
Razor: Parker 11r oxhorn, Astra SP (2)
Post-shave: cold water splash, Jack Black protein booster, Neutragena hydro boost

Nothing new introduced into todays shave. Rather, going back to some of the first kit I got when I dumped the carts and canned goo. A lovely shave and when I do my part, every bit as effective and pleasant as any of the “updated RAD/BAD/SAD” stuff acquired since.

2 passes for a smooth, solid 9.4 DFS

Post: Thayer's and Chiseled Face Sherlock

A great Vector shave today. Don Jose lathered up well, but a little on the airy side for my tastes. 9.9/10. Vector shaves are so good and so easy, they tend to leave me with little else to say!
