Fourth shave with the Astra SS, just a single pass shave today but it still felt very smooth. It doesn't feel as sharp as it did on shaves 2 and 3 but it's still sharp enough for a close enough single pass shave.
Another shave with TABAC as well, performance is excellent (maybe not the best for post shave though) and the scent a bit mellower again today.
A touch of irritation around my neck (common area for me) but no sting from the alum so I don't expect it to last.

Fantastic shaves with your new razor (Vector Ti) are great to hear.

But your picture today is captivating, a remarkable photo.

If you’ll excuse me now, I’m just going to stare at the picture for a while. (I feel like Cameron in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.)

Razor: r89
Blade: King c Gillette

Cream: Gillette Foamy can soap
Aftershave: Old Spice germany
10/10

Better shave then the last TOOBS sandlewood shave that i had. The foamy gives a extremely nice cushion guys, and the smell is awesome. Add a little water on top of it and it shines like butter on a hot day. And it comes out heaps and heaps. Oh i love my brush and soaps, but that stuff isn’t bad at all!

Pitralon Classic After Shave Splash

First time I used this Handle and Head combo. It's a winner. The Old Spice Fresh Lime was a nice scent and a good lather. Mostly BBS. No nicks or weepers or razor burn. 9.5

Have a great day everyone [emoji106]

Pre: Proraso white
Brush: Craving Shaving Supervisor
Lather: SW Druantia sample
Blade: Personna med prep (2)
Razor: Grand Shave King
Post: Thayer’s, PAA bay rum star jelly

This razor is extremely mild. Three passes with some touch ups to get DFS. Smooth though.
I had previously thought the knot in the brush was a Boss knot but talking to Craving Shaving I’m informed it’s their Supervisor knot which they no longer carry. Big time bummer since this knot works incredibly well at whipping up a really nice lather quickly. And lo and behold I forgot to put the darn thing in the photo. Doh! Well here it is. I love it. Bought here on the BST too.

Once again, a stubble free, nick and weeper free shave. Lately I have had a run of great shaves. I don't know if it is the blade / razor combination, or that I began letting the pre-shave prep soap soak into my bear for 4 or 5 minutes.

More Deep Thoughts than Jack Handy
Pre-Shave: Cold water splash - OPR Sandalwood shave soap (brushless - pump - applied by hand)
Soap: Chiseled Face Bay Rum
Brush: Semogue Pharos synthetic
Razor: RazoRock Lupo SS SB .72
Blade: Sharp Titanium (3)
Post-Shave: Cold water splash - Stirling Bay Rum-scented Witch Hazel - Lucky Tiger face tonic
AS: Barrister and Mann Bay Rum

Two days of growth made very smooth. I was wondering how the regular formula Chiseled Face soap would fare with my new performance stringency, but it made it. It's a tallow-based soap with a fair amount of additional slickeners in it. I have one of their soaps in the Silk Tallow base, Ghost Town Barber, which I'll use and rate soon. Most of my collection is falling below my new performance standards to varying degrees, so I'll only use those soaps on a rare occasion. But this shave was stellar, a 12 on a scale of 1-10.

Happy Shaves, Everyone!

Soap: Proraso Green
Razor: GEM 1912
Blade: GEM stainless (2)
Brush: Beagle
Aftershave: Witch Hazel / Brut

Another great shave with the GEM. Unsure why I reached for Brut this morning, although I don't mind it. I guess I just wanted the color green this morning...

10/10 no cuts/irritation/as close of a shave as possible without going ATG. Me like.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Soap: Stirling Piacenza
Brush: AP Shaveco 24 mm SynBad
Razor: R41
Blade: Pol Silver (6)
Post shave: Alum block, Stirling Piacenza

For the last few months I've been rotating between, Timeless SS ,95 OC, Karve SS with brass SB-E plate, and Timeless SS .68 SB. All three work really well for me, but this morning on a whim I loaded the blade into my R41 for the first time in ages. The result was a 10/10 shave. I won't call it comfortable compared with my usual choices, but smooth as glass, no irritation, and very little feedback from the alum.

No chance of it unseating my favourites, but I will use it more often because it reminds me to shave with a truly light touch.

9/22/21 “some New stuff”
Razor: Gillette NDX Superspeed (“New”)
Blade: PermaSharp Super (1)
Brush: Omega 20107 Pro Boar (New)
Soap: Haslinger Ringelblumen
Lather: Face
Post: Thayers WH Aloe
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

The Shave: W/X/A passes as I try to learn about my “new” Superspeed while removing my whiskers.
First impressions of the razor are pretty positive, it feels smooth and efficient (not super efficient but easily get nice results with three passes.)
I did two hand lathers with this Omega, just to try a slightly different break in process. The brush already performs well. I’m done with any other break in techniques except for using it, as it’s nice already.
One weeper that went away with my AV application. Good shave. 8.75/10.

Smooooooth shave, once again. Love all the stuff I used today, and used the Aramis, why? Well, because I was feeling 'fancy' today, and a bit vintage. Was my date scent back in my yoot! :)

Razor: Razorock Lupo.72
Blade: Nacet (1)
Brush: Golden Nib Silvertip
Soap: Electric Pineapple
Aftershave: Stirling Bay Rum

Good morning! Spectacular shave today. Face lathered Electric Pineapple. This TGN knot is really growing on me. I don’t know if I just never gave it a fair shake when I got it or what, but since bringing it back into rotation, I’ve really enjoyed using it. A Nacet in the Lupo provided an extremely close, very comfortable shave. BBS. Finished with Stirling Bay Rum.

Yesterday I received a new brush I had ordered: an Omega Evo 28 mm syn. I thought I would try it out today. The brush is quite soft and is very dense. I will try it again on Thursday and have more comments. Since this is Wednesday, the Wolfman comes out. The blade is a fresh Personna Lab. A nice, BBS shave. Have a good one, gents.
