I pushed this blade one shave too far...

Brush: PAA Green Ray
Lather: Stirling Haverford
Blade: Tatra (4)
Razor: Razorock German 37
Post: Thayer's and Speick Active

It was still a good shave, but not great. That said, few blades give me four good shaves. I had a little irritation, but no blood. Results were a uniform DFS+ with moderate but acceptable feedback from the aftershave. Rating: 8.8/10.

Prep : Warm Water Splashes + Glycerin Face Wash

Very close, comfortable and smooth BBS in 3 passes ! :001_wub:

Soap Stirling Evie
Brush Yaqi 24mm Cavern Lake 2 Band Badger
Razor Ribbon 1000
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel Wintergreen + Proraso Green Splash
This is a surprisingly pleasant scented soap with good strength too. As with most Stirling, the lather is just impeccable...creamy and slick for the job!
Today's shave with this razor was acceptable. The razor's edge is smooth but perhaps not as keen. Managed 3passes for a sas result without any issues. Aftershaves were icy and just great. Rating 9.2/10

Aftershave: Noble Otter Rawr Splash
Rating: 10/10

The Vector is new to me and I’m accustomed to a steep angle for my DE’s so I’m still getting used to the shallow angle I need for the Vector, especially on the ATG pass. Although I’ve had really good shaves with it so far, today was an incredible shave. I think I figured out how to hold the razor for the ATG pass to get the proper angle, leading to probably the closest and smoothest shave I’ve ever had and with no irritation, blood or feedback from the alum or AS. Oh man, I hope I can remember how I did that.

Thought I’d try this combination just for research purposes.

Gillette Sensor3 disposable razor
Gillette Fusion Proglide gel

Overall score: 7/10

Reason for score. The Sensor3, though feeling plasticky and tacky in the hand gave a pretty close shave after doing my usual 3 pass method and I had no nicks or cuts. The gel was rather thin and weedy compared to my King Of Shaves gel. However it did a passable job.

I wouldn’t use the Sensor3 as my main razor but it would be reasonable for travelling purposes.

Jason.

So far the Dorco Stainless blade and KCG razor seem to work well together.

Birthday shave today but, along with the dog, I'm awake before everyone else in the household so I shaved before I got my birthday presents (including new shaving gear!). It was my third shave with the Astra SS and it's still nice and sharp and very smooth, one shave to go testing it but it's moved ahead of the 7 O'Clock Yellow in my FaTip blade rankings.
Another shave with the Trumper Rose sample as well and my opinion of it hasn't changed, solid (but not spectacular) performer, slightly about TOBS/D.R Harris but not quite as good as Truefitt and Hill. Scent wise I have enjoyed the rose scent so I might have to try a rose scented soap from a better performer (I'm thinking MdC or Le Pere Lucien).
Overall a pleasant and close shave with no irritation or feedback from the Alum.

Razor: RazoRock Game Changer .85 P
Blade: Nacet SS (1)
Brush: RazoRock Barber 24 synthetic
Soap: Proraso Green
Rating: 9.5

This morning's shave on 2 days of growth. DFS+ after WTG/XTG/ATG passes, and no irritation - but a large painless nick on the Adam's apple.

First time using Nacet blades. It seems like a good blade, but I cannot tell any difference between it and an Astra SS - at least not yet.

Using the Timeless – Lab blade combo for the 6th nice shave. The Ethos Lavender soap and Chubby brush are a match made in heaven. Four passes on my face and neck and two on my head and I am ready to go. Have a great day, folks.
