Soap: Arianna & Evans Kaizen
Bowl: Blue Timeless
Brush: Semogue SOC TAJ Resin Handle Boar
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Stypic Pencil, Thayers Unscented Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm, A & E Kaizen AS
Rating: 9.75/10 Excellent 2 1/2 pass BBS shave. Three weepers (opened prior weepers), No cuts or irritation. Nice smooth shave.

Soap: Stirling Coconut Lime
Razor: Le Grelot 6/8
Strop: Tony Miller Steerhide
Brush: Trafalgar T2
Aftershave: Witch Hazel / Lilac Vegetal

Did not shave yesterday due to nerve pain from an old injury, but felt like I could stand long enough for a SR shave today. I've always gone with the philosophy of "wetter is better" with my lathers but I've slowly been dialing back the hydration and I feel like my shaves are improving. Still talking about a properly hydrated lather but not to the point where lather flings everywhere and I'm battling a slick brush handle from the lather being too runny.

Alas, the tinkering continues...

Glad to hear that the old injury was a little better so you could get a great shave in.
Tinkering is fun!

I forged on the with Kai Titan Mild blade today:

tempImage8Boi2U.jpg

Brush: RR Tricolore
Lather: Stirling Eucalyptus Mint with 7 Frost Drops -- does menthol additive kill lather a little? Seems like I loaded enough to make a real pile of it, but it didn't develop as much. Oh well, it still turned out well and felt/smelled great.
Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild (8) -- eight really nice shaves from a single blade? Madness!
Razor: Blackland Vector SB
Splash: Proraso Green -- perfect follow up to the Eucalyptus Mint soap
Balm: Nivea Cooling -- because why not?

I decided not to do ATG passes on mustache, chin, or jawline, just to keep everything super comfortable.

Another no blood shave today--these are awesome. Results: an excellent, cozy DFS+. 9/10. Hope everyone's week is starting well.

Nice lather from the soap...aromatic cigarish tobacco scent with good slickness too. Overdone it abit...hahaha
Shave with razor paired with this blade was an enjoyable, smooth and comfortable session. 3passes without any issues for a mostly bbs finish. Matching aftershave is good but abit mild...hmmm. Rating 10/10!

be well all.

I don’t see a lot of talk about the Holy Black, what do you think of Gunpowder Spice scent and performance wise? I know there are a few soaps with gunpowder, are there any soaps you’ve tried that are similar scent wise? The scent profile of this one really intrigues me. Thanks

Razor: Timeless .95 Titanium Scalloped
Blade: Gillette Super Blue (1)
Bowl: Captain’s Choice Copper Lather Bowl (Heavyweight)
Brush: Paladin Samurai 26mm
Soap and Aftershave: Murphy and McNeil Garda Siochana
Rating: 10 / 10

Fantastic BBS shave with no cuts, weepers or irritation. First use of the Super Blue blade and oh boy am I impressed. It was sharp yet very smooth and cut through three days growth like a hot knife through butter. After the second pass, XTG, I could have stopped with a DFS+ result which I don’t get after three full passes with many other blades. Excited to see how the next few shaves go with it. The Paladin and Murphy and McNeil are my favourite brush and soap combo, whipping up a creamy and super slick lather.

Whiskers by Adam’s apple were difficult to get, so I had a couple tiny droplets of blood because I went over that area numerous times.
