A nice shave for a rain free morning—so far. Today’s shave yielded no significant stubble, nicks, but one very tiny weeper. During the buffing, I had to use residual cream to smooth out high spots under the jaw line.

Rating: 10/10
Pre-Shave: Cold water splash - Cremo Shave Cream Bourbon Vanilla (Brushless - applied by hand.)
Soap: Black Ship Grooming Tortuga
Brush: PAA Amber Aerolite Tuxedo synthetic
Razor: RazoRock Lupo SS SB .95
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Post-Shave: Cold water splash - Thayers Lemon-scented Witch Hazel - Lucky Tiger aftershave tonic
AS: Captain's Choice Island Time

Great shave this morning. I've decided to start shaving every other day. The Lupo razors are so efficient, it's really not necessary for me to shave daily anymore. The .95 with a GSB mowed through the stubble with ease. Tortuga is a fun fruity and floral scent that's easy to like. The lather was great, plenty creamy and slick. I paired the soap with another Tropical Island scent, CC Island Time.

Happy Shaves, Everyone.

Razor: PAA DOC, Nickel Plated
Blade: King C Gillette (2)
Brush: MUHLE HJM Black Fiber, 21mm

Lather: Huntlee Master Lather,Sweet Tobacco,
Small dollop of coconut oil

Post: Equate Witch Hazel,
Osage Rub Aftershave Splash

I use to read about someone adding a small amount of coconut oil to their soap. Now I know why. It added a whole new level of slickness and cushion to the lather. It made a good soap an excellent soap.
The PAA nickel plated Dual Open Comb is the very first PAA razor I purchased.
King C Gillette blades are okay imo. I have the pack that came with my King C Gillette safety razor but I don't plan to purchase any.
The Muhle Fiber brush is good.
The shave was smooth and comfortable.
No nicks or weepers or razor burn.

A 48-hour beard:

Merkur Progress/Personna Red blade (2)

Trumper's Almond Cream, w/ a a little La Toja stick soap as pre-shave

Semogue boar brush

Pre-shower, Stirling SDM aftershave; post-shower, Proraso Red AS, Assured lotion, Clubman powder

Post-workout but pre-shower, I washed the phiz with La Toja and applied a bit more as my brush soaked in hot water. Then I squeezed it out, loaded it with Trumper's, and face-lathered. Pass 1, Merkur setting 4.5 (2.5 steps above where my razor closes), WTG; pass 2, setting 3.5, ATG with a little skin stretching; pass 3, cleanup, XTG. Remarkably smooth.

Verdict: 9.5.

Overcast Tuesday Shave:

RR SLOC + WCS 84s handle (George Jetson Edition)
Perma-Sharp Super (5)
Yaqi Purple Haze/Mew Brown synth brush
PAA Ice Cube 2 pre-shave soap as stick
Haslinger Schafmilch as stick + Omega Eucalyptus soap
Dickinson's witch hazel with Pereja Limon Kolonya

Clean, close shave; DFS

Pre Shave: Warm shower, Stirling Unscented Pre Shave Soap
Soap/Cream: Arianna & Evans Kaizen
Brush: Semogue Cherry Wood Handle SOC Boar
Blade: Feather FHS-10 (2)
Razor: OneBlade Hybrid
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Thayers Unscented Witch Hazel, Nivea Unscented Post Shave Balm, A&E Kaizen AS

Excellent 10/10 BBS 2 1/2 pass shave. No weepers, cuts or irritation. Just back from vacation and used the OREN, Feather Professional Blade, A&E Barberie Sofistacato, Zenith 506A Manchurian Boar and received descent shaves, but due to water differences shaves varied. Some BBS, some with weepers no real consistency. Was nice to get home so I can have some variety in hardware & software.

Tuesday first shave in New Jersey, 10/10, no mishaps; simply wonderful:
Razor: Occam's razor- two-dot head- razor just keep giving me great shaves
Blade: Schick Proline P-30 (1)- fresh blade was great; the blades from this dispenser fit the Occam's fine without clipping the end
Brush: Shavemac small pure badger- suppose I'm just a natural fiber fellow; boar or badger seems to suit me
Soap: Canada Shave Soap- what a great soap; it continues to impress with superb lather; the puck is showing a little indentation
Post-shave: icy cold rinse, then a healthy splash of Epsilon Amber AS

May you have some epic shaves!

SMOOTH OPERATOR
Razor: Blackland Razors Sabre L1
Blade: GEM PTFE
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 3 LE Sovereign Fibre
Soap: Wickham Shamrock Tweed
Lather: Face
Post: Thayers WH Aloe
Aftershave: Stirling Ramblin’ Man

The Shave: W/X/A passes for a DFS shave. Very smooth and gentle on the skin. My Chubby 3 LE Is a great lathering brush, nice face presence instead of just a soft mush. Wickham soap continues to impress and with today’s high heat and humidity I needed the good post shave. There can never be enough good thoughts expressed on the Sabre. In typical Blackland Razors fashion, the design and execution are flawless. Great shave 9.75/10.

Time to mix things up with some samples from Captain’s choice. The cream was CC’s Sandalwood. Makes a luxurious lather. Used an Omega 81052 boar. After the shave splashed some CC 45th Thayers WH followed by CC 45h Parallel shaving balm. A great shave. Liked both CC products and recommend them.
