Prep:
Pear Soap facewash using Omega 11126 brush
Razor:
WCS 84S
Soap:
Proraso Green shave cream (using distilled water)
Brush:
Gray Dog
Blade:
Lord Platinum Shave #4
Passes:
WTG then ATG
Cleanup:
Rinsed and dried face, Witch Hazel, and then an Alum rub down.
Aftershave:
Pinaud Clubman Bay Rum
Rating:
9.8 DFS+ A good shave with minimal remaining stubble, 1 nick—clumsiness, but no weepers. A busy day ahead helping older son and fiancée move furniture between apartments. When you have a pickup truck, you are in constant demand.

Early Saturday shave on a 48-hour beard:

Hoffritz vintage slant/Rapira Super Stainless blade (3)

Tabac in stick form

AP Shave Co. synthetic tuxedo brush

Clubman SR aftershave, Assured lotion, Clubman powder

No workout or shower this morning. A thorough face and throat wash with Irish Spring soap and Assured skin lotion to soften the beard; then I applied the Tabac (as with Arko, it seems when you first use the stick that you're not putting enough soap on), face-lathered, gave it 3 minutes, and went to work. Three passes, WTG, ATG, and XTG plus cleanup, super close and yet comfortable, without nicks or irritation.

Verdict, as often with my slant razors: 9.6.

Pre-Shave: Cold water splash - Pinaud Clubman Classic Barber Shave Cream (brushless - applied by hand)
Soap: PAA Space Nog (CK-6 formula)
Brush: Fendrihan Tuxedo synthetic
Razor: Karve Brass OC (Plate B)
Blade: Derby Premium (2)
Post-Shave: Cold water splash - Thayers lemon scented Witch Hazel - Lucky Tiger aftershave tonic
AS: PAA Space Nog Star Jelly

No shave yesterday...had to rise very early and take my bride for a procedure at the hospital. All came out good, thanks be to God. This morning's shave was stellar. Karve OC mowed down the two days of growth like a John Deere through a field of wheat...or something like that. DFS/BBS bloodless and injury free result. Pinaud Clubman Classic Barber Shave Cream is the new pre-shave product. Works a bit better than the OPR actually although I miss that convenient pump. Hmmm...there's a decision waiting to happen. Something smells good in here...it's two kid astronauts paddling through a lake of Eggnog infused Bay Rum! How does PAA come up with these things?

Happy Shaves, Everyone!

Soap: TFS Mattino
Brush: Omega 10066
Razor: Gillette slim
Blade: Gillette Rubie (1)
AS: Ghost Town Barber

Wonderful Saturday morning shave. Two new items, Mattino soap and Rubie blade, and I really liked both. The TFS soap made a great lather, and I really liked the scent. It’s not strong at all, salt water and something sweet. It reminded me of freshly sliced watermelon. I’d certainly get it again, but it was not easy to find in stock in North America. The Rubie blade seemed really similar to a Nacet. The blade feel was slightly different, maybe a hair less smooth, but similarly sharp. Two passes, unintentional BBS. No feedback from the aftershave. Everything just fell into place today.

White Dwarfs? Red Dwarfs? Red Giants? My STAR is a Gold Giant!!!

Another Stellar shave with my STAR DE. I am absolutely loving this razor and the shaves it is providing.
Oh yeah ouchy! Put your money where your mouth is!
Okay then! I ordered another one. That’s how much I love this razor. It’s been giving me perfect two pass BBS with a zero pressure technique. Speaking of technique, my Techs may be collecting a little dust since I’ve discovered this mostly overlooked gem...It’s a STAR...not a GEM.

Ive been meaning to try this Absinthe sample for some time. The soap performs the way you expect any H et V soap to act. But the scent...extremely soft anise. What could be nicer. I must order the splash!

A shave to brag about!

Pre Shave: Warm Shower with cold water rinse
Razor: Rockwell 6S plate 3
Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux
Soap: Arko
Brush: Parker Premium Black Badger
Post Shave: Cold water rinse, Omega alum stick, cold water rinse, Old Spice, moisturizer
Loved the the Rapira blade and Arko but don’t love the Rockwell 6S. I think it’s the weight and the matte finish of the razor that doesn’t sit right with me. No weepers or irritation.

Prep : warm shower / Bulldog original face wash
Pre shave : Proraso white
Brush : Proraso boar by Omega
Cream : Proraso white in a tube
Razor : Merkur 34 C
Blade : Asco Super stainless (1)
Post : alum block and then Proraso White after shave balm

Result :

Second time using that type of blade, the first shave was rushed on the second pass creating quite a few nicks and weepers. First pass went on just fine not a single nicks, first time ever with a DE razor … yeah … Second pass was not so bad either I nick my throat twice on the same stroke and backed away from it. As a green wet shaver I would rather have no irritation / nicks redness and what’s not than a BBS face. as a result I have some subtle left over on the throat were a stroke is missing. Irritation is pretty much non existent except under the right side corner or my lips and really localized.

I have read multiple post stating that the journey became easier once the temptation to achieve BBS was away. This shave might prove that.

Next on Monday morning not sure of the blade to be used but I shall see
